How to structure a content or communications team in Hive

For a content production workflow, you primarily want to follow these guidelines:

  1. Set up the statuses of your project in Hive to reflect the stages that your content goes through

  2. Use labels to tag which type of content it is

  3. Add a custom field to include the design asset link

Here is a view of the template in Status View, with the custom statuses: Content Ideas, On Deck, Outline/Research, Writing, Editing, Promotion. 

You can add a new, custom status to your project by clicking the 'Add New Status' option in status view. 


Labels are used to tag the content type. This is helpful not only to organize information and segment by content type (see: label view!) but also to aid in reporting across projects with summary views:

Additionally, custom fields can be used to capture asset links or other information that you would like to be easily accessible.
