If your workspace users are seeing the following error message when logging in for the first time, you can follow these steps to grant access for them.

Why Do Users See this Message?

If your Microsoft account has the Admin setting enabled to require Admin consent for OAuth apps, then this message is displayed to your non-Admin users.

How Should You Address it to Allow Users to Log in?

First, you want to make sure that the Microsoft Admin has the admin option in their Office account which requires admin consent for OAuth apps. This is controlled here:

  1. Sign into your Office365 administrator account

  2. Click Settings > Org Settings

  3. Open "User consent to apps"

After following those steps, you will probably see something like this:

The Microsoft admin can either check the box shown above to allow user consent to all apps, or they can approve consent for users just to Hive by doing the following:

  1. Going to portal.azure.com

  2. Go to "Enterprise applications"

  3. Search for (or add) the "Hive" application (application ID b0b4ba2c-8d63-4380-8916-16d85bfcc157)

  4. Go to the "Self-service" section on the application

  5. Configure to 'Allow users to request access to the application' to YES and 'Require approval before granting access to application' to NO, like below:

Once these steps are completed, your users will be able to log into Hive without needing Admin approval.
