Hive Notifications

Stay on top of changes across your workspace — assignments, mentions, comments, and more.

Accessing Notifications

Click the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the app. An orange dot appears when you have unread notifications. Notifications are organized into five tabs:

Tab

What it shows

Me

Updates specific to you: new assignments, @mentions, direct chats

All

Updates on all actions you follow (created, assigned to, mentioned in, or commented on)

Mentions

Notifications where you were @mentioned

Archived

Notifications you previously archived

Pinned

Notifications you pinned for later

Notification Filters

Use the Filter dropdown (next to Show) within any notification tab to toggle specific notification categories on or off. You can select or deselect all at once, or pick exactly the types you care about.

All filters are enabled by default. Use "Deselect all" to start fresh, then enable only the categories you want to see.

Managing Notifications

Read and Archive

Mark a notification as read to acknowledge it, then archive it when you're done. Click any notification to jump directly to the referenced action card or message — use your notification list as a to-do list.

Bulk Actions

Use "Mark all as read" to bulk-read notifications, then "Archive all" to clear your list. Visit the Archived tab to unarchive or mark items as unread again.

How You Start Following an Action

You automatically become a follower (and start receiving notifications) on an action when you:

You follow everything you create.

Get assigned to the card

Get @mentioned in a comment

Mentions trigger follow status.

Comment on the card
