Learn how Hive’s AI-enabled workspace helps teams reduce manual work, connect organizational knowledge, and move projects forward faster with AI built directly into operational workflows.
Instead of relying on isolated prompts, AI works within the context of your organization — helping teams automate coordination, surface information faster, and execute work with greater visibility and alignment.
Whether you're using AI-powered email suggestions, proofing assistance, dashboards, Sidekick on calls, or Buzz Chat, the experience adapts to how your team already works.
Buzz AI for every workspace
Buzz AI is available across Hive workspaces. Your plan includes a monthly AI allowance so everyone can use AI lightly — for chat, mail help, dashboards, workflows, proofing, and more..
Think of it as everyday AI included with Hive. Heavier or always-on usage may need more capacity; workspace admins can review usage and add more when the team is ready.
Start on the Apps page
Open Apps from the Hive sidebar.
Look at the AI Enabled Workspace section at the top.
When Buzz AI is active, you’ll see: “Buzz AI is active across your workspace.”
From here you can:
See which AI experiences are Included (Buzz Assistant, AI Workflows, AI Dashboards, Sidekick)
Toggle AI Mail for your account (after Hive Mail is connected)
Toggle AI Proofing for the workspace (admins; requires Proofing & Approvals)
Open Sidekick from its card (desktop recommended)
Tip: Refresh Hive after the AI update rolls out, then visit Apps to explore the new layout.

Why Hive’s AI-Enabled Workspace is different
Most AI tools operate in isolated conversations with limited organizational awareness.
Hive’s AI-enabled workspace is built around operational context — connecting projects, communication, meetings, workflows, and institutional knowledge into one shared system.
The result is AI that can better understand how your organization actually works, helping teams reduce coordination overhead and execute work faster.
Usage & capacity
Your workspace receives a monthly AI allowance with your Hive plan. Everyday light use across Buzz Chat, Mail, Proofing, Dashboards, Workflows, and Sidekick draws from that shared pool.
Admins can review usage under Your Workspace → Buzz AI → AI usage.
If the team needs more AI capacity in a given month, admins can add more.
Allowance refreshes on your workspace’s billing period.
We intentionally keep the customer experience simple: use AI where it helps, and expand capacity only when usage grows.
FAQ
Purchase & usage
Can only one person on my team use Buzz AI?
Buzz AI is workspace-aware by design — it works best when connected across shared projects, workflows, communication, and operational context. Everyone in the workspace can use Included features subject to permissions and your monthly allowance.
Do we still need a separate AI add-on just to try Buzz?
No. Light AI use is included. Visit Apps → AI Enabled Workspace to explore Included features and optional toggles.
Is there a trial?
Because light AI is included with Hive, you can start using Buzz from Apps without a separate “AI trial” gate. Optional apps like Proofing & Approvals may still have their own add-on trials when you enable them.
Are there limits to AI usage?
Yes — workspaces have a monthly allowance sized for everyday use. There is no old-style “30 chat messages then stop” rule. Activity across AI surfaces counts toward the same workspace allowance. Admins can add capacity if you need more.
Where do I see what we’re using?
Your Workspace → Buzz AI → AI usage.
