Looking to have your parent actions automatically marked as complete when their subactions are completed? Turn on this setting for your projects.

What is the Parent Action Auto-completion?

When a parent action has sub-actions (or child-actions), this setting will automatically mark the parent action as complete when its corresponding sub-actions are all completed.

How is Parent Action Auto-completion Enabled?

This setting is enabled at the project level, for each project independently.

When editing an existing project, open the "Advanced project settings" dropdown by clicking on the arrow.

Toggle on the "Auto-complete parent actions when all subactions are complete" setting under the Action Card Settings section to enable it.

If you toggle on the autocomplete setting in project settings, once all subactions (or child tasks) have been completed, the parent will now be marked as Completed too. Simply check off all child tasks and watch the parent move smoothly to Completed. Magic.
