With Hive's AI Email Assistant and Hive Mail, you can get helpful AI assistance for suggested responses to emails, store memories to help guide Buzz AI in its suggestions, and save cognitive load by allowing the helper to automatically archive emails it deems irrelevant.

Managing AI Email Assistant Settings

Auto archiving

By default, the AI Email Assistant will not auto-archive or take any action without your consent. To enable auto archiving:

  1. Go to the top right menu in Hive

  2. Go to "Edit profile"

  3. Go to "AI Settings"

  4. Toggle the auto archiving option

AI Memories

Memories are used to guide the assistant on your preferences, for example: "I prefer that all promotional emails be archived". To manage memories and preferences for the AI Email Assistant:

  1. Go to the top right menu in Hive

  2. Go to "Edit profile"

  3. Go to "AI Settings"

  4. Add, update, or remove your AI Memories from there

Daily Email Digest

Once the AI Email archives the emails, you will receive a notification from Hive (updates@notifications.hive.com) informing you which emails have been archived in your inbox. This notification will be sent at 5:00 PM.

If the wrong email gets archived, you can update the AI Memories to stop archiving important emails.

AI Email Suggestions

If you have Hive Mail enabled, the AI Email will suggest next steps whenever you open an email in your inbox. You can give feedback by clicking thumbs up or down, helping the AI learn your preferences.

If the AI suggests replying to an email, it will provide a short response you can send as-is or edit before sending.
