The Hive connector for Claude lets Claude use your Hive data. Claude can find and summarize your work, create and update actions and projects, and work with Hive CRM and finance records. Claude uses your Hive account, so it can see and change only the data that you can see and change in Hive.
The connector works in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile, and Claude Code.
Connect Hive to Claude
In Claude, open Settings and select Connectors.
Click Browse connectors, find Hive, and click Connect.
Sign in to Hive.
Hive shows Connect this app to Hive? Make sure that the app is Claude, then click Allow access.
Claude Team and Enterprise: an owner of your Claude organization must first add the Hive connector in the organization settings. Then each member connects their own Hive account with the steps above.
Claude Code: run this command, then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Hive:
claude mcp add --transport http hive https://hive-mind.hive.com/mcp
What you can ask Claude
Ask Claude in plain language. For example:
"Show my overdue actions in Hive and group them by project."
"Create an action in the Website Redesign project to review the homepage copy, due Friday, and assign it to me."
"Summarize the status of my projects in Hive for my weekly update."
"Find the Globex opportunity in Hive CRM and move it to the next stage."
"Show the open customer invoices in Hive that are more than 30 days overdue."
If you are in more than one Hive workspace, tell Claude which workspace to use.
What Claude can change
Each Hive tool tells Claude if it only reads data or if it changes data. Tools that send email, post to the ledger, or delete data are marked as destructive. Claude asks you before it uses a tool that changes data, unless you change that setting in Claude. Always check what Claude will change before you approve it.
Hive finance tools record accounting data in Hive. They do not move money, make payments, or charge cards.
Disconnect Hive
In Claude, open Settings > Connectors, select Hive, and click Disconnect. Claude then cannot get access to your Hive data.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Do this |
Sign-in shows "Authorization session expired" | Start the connection again from Claude and finish the sign-in within 15 minutes. |
Claude shows an authentication error after it worked before | Disconnect Hive in Claude, then connect again. |
Claude cannot get access to a project, CRM record, or finance data | Make sure that you can open it in Hive with the same account. CRM and finance tools work only in workspaces that have these features. |
Claude uses the wrong workspace | Tell Claude the name of the workspace to use. |
