Filter workflows when an action is created

When you use the Action is created trigger, you can now add conditions based on more action details. This helps a workflow run only for the actions that match your process.

Choose fields and conditions

In the workflow trigger settings, select a field and the operator that should be applied to it. Available fields include:

  • Title and description

  • Team assignee, project, project section, parent action, and milestone

  • Priority, status, privacy, form, urgent, blocked, and risk

  • Due date, start date, and created by

  • Labels and assignees

Choose the value that should qualify an action. For example, you can run a workflow when an action is created in a particular project, assigned to a specific team, marked urgent, or given a matching due date.

Use the expanded trigger in a workflow

  1. Create or edit a workflow.

  2. Select Action is created as the trigger.

  3. Add conditions using the available action fields and operators.

  4. Save and enable the workflow.

Availability and limitations

The workflow evaluates the action details present when the action is created. Existing behavior for status, assignees, and labels remains available. Use the operators shown for each selected field, since available comparisons vary by field type.
