Easily control the visibility of questions on your Hive form

Use Hive's conditional visibility to show or hide questions dynamically on your Hive Forms and create unique designs based on different criteria.

Question Visibility

Follow these steps to adjust the visibility of a question on your Hive Form.

  1. Navigate to the edit settings for the form question you wish to control the visibility of

  2. Locate and open the Logic settings

  3. Open the 'Visible if' option

  4. You can now select the question from your form you wish to use to control the visibility of your question

  5. Set the desired question response and operator to trigger the visibility of your question

  6. Click Apply to confirm your settings

  7. Don't forget to save your form

The above example shows a question that will become visible when a form submitter selects 'Yes' for the Is Hive Awesome question.

Dropdown Answer Visibility

Follow these steps to set the visibility for options in your dropdown questions based on the response to another question.

  1. Create the question that will trigger the choices in your dropdown. In this example, the select an area question will control which items are shown in the follow-up question.

  2. Create your dropdown question with all of your options/choices listed

  3. Open the choices section of the question edit modal on the right-hand side

  4. Click the pen icon beside the first item in your dropdown choices

  5. You can now select the trigger question to control the visibility of this choice

  6. Click Apply to confirm your settings

  7. Repeat this for each choice in your dropdown

  8. Don't forget to save and publish your form.
