Dashboards is your personalized homepage for all of the most important things (to you) in your organization's workspace. Use it as a notepad for your next 1-on-1, dashboard for your latest project, or any other reason you need to see your relevant tasks, notes, and goals at a glance.

Dashboards is available to all Hive users, regardless of plan. To access Dashboards, go to Apps -> Workspace Apps, and scroll down to Dashboards. From here, you can choose to pin it to your left sidebar. Toggle Dashboards on to begin using it and click into the app to begin.

Accessing Financial Dashboard Templates

Financial data from your workspace can be brought into Dashboards and reported on in a few ways.

First, you can access our pre-existing Financial Reporting templates, which include our Time Tracking Financial Summary and Timesheets Financial Summary.

In the Time Tracking Financial Summary dashboard, you'll find the following:

  • Total Time Tracked hours

  • Total Estimated hours

  • Total Cost Amount

  • Estimated Cost Amount

  • Total Billed Amount

  • Estimated Billed Amount

  • Estimated and Time Tracked Timeline

  • Cost to Billed Timeline

In the Timesheets Financial Summary dashboard, you'll find the following:

  • Total Timesheet hours recorded

  • Total Cost Amount

  • Estimated Cost Amount

  • Total Resource Estimate Hours

  • Resource Estimate and Hours timeline

  • Total Billed Amount

  • Estimated Billed Amount

This is only the beginning. From there you can create additional widgets, charts, and graphs based on the information that the Dashboard has pulled from your workspace.

The widgets available include everything from Charts, Numbers, Time Tracked, Goals, Notes and more.

View Modes

If you choose to add additional charts or widgets to your financial tracking dashboards, there are two modes you'll need to know about: Edit and View.

  • View mode is the default one when you open the app. It locks widget configuration but its position on the Dashboard can still be changed.

  • Edit mode can be accessed by hovering over your widget and clicking the Gear icon. From there, you can configure the widget, apply new filters, etc. Hit 'Save chart' at the top of your widget to save the changes made.

As you can see above, you can report on Actions, projects, status, and more, in addition to billing, timesheets, or time tracking.

Project Drill Down

To see which specific projects your chart is referring to, you can click on a slice, bar, line, or number widget and detailed information will appear.

Swipe left to locate the '+' button and add additional columns. Drag & drop to manage the column order easily.

Custom Fields

Additional customizations can be added to your financial reporting dashboard that can be customized by custom fields.

Custom fields can contain numbers, formulas, text, and more. For a break down of all custom field possibilities, click here.
