How do I remove or hide an action status?

Remove an action status from a project, delete it across the workspace, or hide it in Home.

Written by Ellen Kajca

This guide covers action card statuses, such as In Review, used in a project’s Status View. These are different from project statuses, such as On Track, that describe the health of a whole project.

Choose whether you want to remove an action status from a project, delete it across the workspace, or hide it from your Home view.

Remove an action status from a project

  1. Open the Project and add the Status View tab from the "+" button.

  2. Click the 3 small dots next to the Status

  3. Select Remove status.

  4. If the project has child projects, choose whether to remove the status from this project only or from this project and all child projects.

  5. Confirm with Remove status.

This removes the status from the selected project scope, rather than deleting it from every project in the workspace.

Delete an action status across the workspace

Only a workspace admin can delete an action status across the workspace. This permanently removes the status from all projects and cannot be undone.

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the application.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Custom statuses, then Action card statuses.

  4. Find the status, open its ⋯ menu, and select Remove status. Confirm with Delete.

The settings screenshot below shows an older layout. Use the ⋯ menu described above in the current interface.

Hide an action status from Home view

  1. Open Home view and change the layout to Status View

  2. Click the Configure button on the top right corner of the page

  3. Uncheck the Status that you do not want to see

  4. Click "Apply".

Pro-tip: If you'd like to hide all statuses with no actions, simply check the "Hide empty groups' option in Configure settings.

Hiding a status in Home changes what you see there; it does not delete the status from your projects.
