Buzz can check a submitter's answers against rules you write before the form is sent. For example, a rule can make sure a budget includes a currency, or that a request says who the audience is. If an answer needs work, the submitter sees what to change before sending.
Before you start: Your workspace needs Buzz enabled. The AI review settings only appear in the form editor when Buzz is on.
Add a rule to a question
In the form editor, select the question.
In the settings panel on the right, click the AI review icon (✨).
Enter a Rule. Write it the way you would explain it to a new colleague. You can refer to other questions by name.
Optionally, add an Example of a good answer so Buzz knows what a passing answer looks like.
Turn on Only warn (the answer can still be sent) if this rule should give a suggestion instead of an error.
Questions with a rule show an AI RULE tag in the form editor. Rules can't be added to display-only blocks such as headers, paragraphs, images, or rulers.
Turn on the review for the form
Click an empty part of the form to show the form's settings.
Click the AI review icon (✨).
Turn on Review answers with AI when someone submits.
Choose whether to keep Allow sending with open issues on. It is on by default.
Save and publish the form.
What submitters see
When someone clicks Submit, a Checking your answers window appears while Buzz reviews the answers. This usually takes a few seconds.
If Buzz finds something, the window shows how many issues it found. The submitter clicks Review issues to see them marked on the form.
Each issue appears above its question:
Errors (red) come from rules without "Only warn". The submitter should fix the answer and click Submit again.
Suggestions (orange) come from rules with "Only warn". They're optional.
If Allow sending with open issues is on, a Send anyway button appears next to Submit while errors remain. Clicking it asks the submitter to confirm, with a choice of Go back and fix or Send anyway. The count in this message includes errors only, not suggestions.
If only suggestions are left, the form says Suggestions are optional. Submit again to send your answers. Clicking Submit again sends the form without another review.
Submitters never see your rule text, only the feedback on their answers.
Good to know
AI credits: Each review uses AI credits from the form owner's workspace, even when the person filling in a public form is outside your workspace.
When the review is skipped: If the review can't run (Buzz is turned off, credits run out, or the check fails or times out), the form submits normally without a review.
Existing forms: These are unaffected until you turn on the review and save at least one rule.
Blocking every send: To make submitters fix all errors before sending, turn off Allow sending with open issues.
